This is why more and more energy suppliers are required to install harmonic filter capacitor systems.The harmonic filter capacitor system improves the power factor while preventing harmonic currents and voltages caused by capacitive and inductive resonance in the power system.By installing a Meganuvo reactor of appropriate size in the current capacitor, the two components form a resonant circuit with a resonant frequency lower than the lowest harmonic of the system (typically the 5th harmonic). If the reactor parameters are selected properly, all frequencies above this resonant frequency can be considered inductive, thereby reducing the likelihood of hazardous resonance between the reactor and the system inductance.However, it is essential to ensure that detuned capacitors and non-detuned capacitors cannot operate in the same power circuit. Such a combination may lead to unpredictable mutual inductance and compensating currents, which could cause damage and breakdown of capacitors, reactors, and other components.Our harmonic reactors are constructed from premium transformer skeletons and copper wires. After drying, they are impregnated with pollution-free polyester resin in a vacuum. This resin ensures the reactors can withstand high voltages, operate with low noise, and offer extended service life.
