Meganuvo's SVG static reactive power generator rapidly generates the required reactive power by modulating the amplitude and phase of the inverter's AC output voltage, achieving continuous dynamic reactive power compensation. Due to its extremely fast response speed, it is also known as a static synchronous compensator. Meganuvo's Mars series products have a full response time of less than 15ms and a dynamic response time of less than 50 μ s, making them particularly suitable for systems with fast load changes. They are a new and efficient solution for power quality.

  1. Reduce voltage dynamic fluctuations and improve the quality of power supply voltage.
  2. Reduce negative sequence voltage through phase separation control and improve the symmetrical level of grid voltage.
  3. Static compensation has the characteristic of fast response, which can suppress system oscillation and improve system stability (static compensation can suppress system oscillation, mainly because it has a fast response and can almost instantly emit reactive power to the system, helping the system maintain a high voltage level and reduce the rotor speed of the generator after fault clearance).
  4. When long-distance transmission lines operate under light load or load shedding, static compensators can switch to phase in operation to reduce the overvoltage of the power grid.
  5. Improve the power factor of the distribution network.
  6. Under large system interference, when the voltage drops below 50%, the TBC will be automatically disconnected immediately, and the reactor will be fully turned on for phase operation to eliminate overvoltage caused by cutting off the capacitive charging element power on the ultra-high voltage line after disturbance (line fault).
